KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three people are in custody following an early morning standoff that happened after a shooting.
Police responded to the area of 25th and Agnes on a shooting call around 4:00 am.
When they arrived, they found a male shooting victim outside who was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He's now listed as stable.
Witnesses told police he came out of a specific house. When officers tried to contact the people inside that house, no one answered. Police initiated a standoff.
During the standoff, they had a staging area at 24th and Agnes with several police cars and a command post truck stationed there. Several blocks around that area were blocked off.
Three people inside the home eventually came out and were taken into custody. The house was cleared for any other people.
Detectives are still processing the scene at this time.
