KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, investigated a homicide early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the area of East 10th Street and Chestnut Avenue just before 2 a.m.
When police arrived they found a man who had been shot and killed.
He was later identified as 27-year-old Darren Thompson.
