KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Megan Segura, project manager at the Kansas City Area Development Council was in charge of hand-delivering the bi-state regional proposal to Amazon in Seattle.
She carried (not checked) five hard-copes of the proposal, along with the credentials for Amazon to see the website version of Kansas City’s proposal, onto a plane heading west.
She delivered the proposal to Amazon at 10 a.m. on the due date, Oct. 19 well before the 5 p.m. deadline.
Right now, Kansas City is not releasing many details about its proposal because leaders don’t want the competition to be in the know.
