Kansas City T-Bones to host Tyrann Mathieu celebrity charity event

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Kansas City T-Bones, now under new ownership, will return to the field this spring and celebrate the team's relaunch with a celebrity charity event for the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation.

The Kansas City Chiefs safety, along with other Chiefs players and celebrities, will compete in a kickball game on May 16, the team's new ownership group, led by local businessman Mark Brandmeyer, announced Tuesday.

The T-Bones will play immediately after the charity event. The games will conclude with a firework show.

All proceeds will be donated to the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of financially disadvantaged youth.

Tickets to the kickball game and season tickets are on now on sale.
