Kansas City Zoo announces birth of Embley, joey of Martha

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There's a new joey about ready to hop around the Kansas City Zoo.

The zoo announced Thursday the birth of Embley, the zoo's latest joey to mother Martha.

Zoo officials are still waiting to get test results back on Embley's gender. Embley is named after a river in Australia.

The news was met with approval from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
