Kansas, K-State both play Thursday at Sprint Center in Big 12 tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two top basketball universities from Kansas will play at the Big 12 men's basketball tournament Thursday at the Sprint Center.

Kansas State kicks off the quarterfinals with a game versus Texas Christian University at 11:30 a.m. 

The Jayhawks play afterward, at around 2 p.m., against Oklahoma State University. OSU beat Oklahoma in the first round of the tournament Wednesday. 

As part of the fan experience, each team hosts a pep rally at the Power and Light District's Kansas City Live stage across the street from the Sprint Center. Kansas State fans will rally at 9:30 a.m., then KU fans take the stage at 11 a.m.

McFadden's bar is the official headquarters for Kansas State fans. No Other Pub opens at 9 a.m. Thursday as the KU-themed bar. 

Four other schools will play during the late afternoon and evening Thursday. The tournament continues through Saturday. 

As of early Thursday morning, tickets are available for all of the tournament's sessions on the Sprint Center's website.
