Coach Walker said he believes it's parents place to talk about the controversy over the NFL protests with their children so he doesn't bring it up.
But Coach Walker said if his players ask him a question or make a comment he takes time with that player to make sure they know why some NFL players chose to kneel.

"It's about the injustices that's going on in the country. That is what the message was in the very beginning and, you know, and that is what has been lost to being a disrespect to the flag and that's not what it was," said Coach Walker.
Coach Walker explained that he is not trying to change their opinion about the NFL players protests.
However, as a mentor and a coach, he is teaching his players to have love, compassion, and understanding for their teammates and other people even if they disagree.
