KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs are not playing in the Super Bowl this weekend, but the work of multiple KC area businesses will be on full display.

"So many agencies in town, HOK, Henderson Engineers, to Dimensional Innovations have worked on this thing for the last 3 to 6 years,” said Dimensional Innovations Account Director, Asher Johnson.

Dimensional Innovations helped create the fan experience at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

“We help bring the fun, the sight, the sound, everything you experience when you go on this journey to a stadium or corporate headquarters,” said Johnson.

Henderson Engineers have worked on multiple Super Bowl stadium venues.

"We do the building systems in the stadium to enhance the on field performance, but also the fan experience as well,” said Henderson Engineers President, Rich Smith.

Even entertainment majors at Missouri State University are apart of the Super Bowl action.

"Volunteering, I didn’t think it would be as simple as it is, when your major is focused around it, its important to look for every opportunity that you have,” said Missouri State junior and Lee’s Summit North graduate Megan Busse.

For more than 17 years Missouri State University has let students volunteer with the Final Four, Super Bowl and other major events.

The students are joining thousands, volunteering to make sure everything runs smoothly.

"I can take that to an interview and say what I’ve learned and this could help your company improve in this way and show the skills I have learned in these experiences, I can help their company out as well,” said Missouri State junior Alyssa Cowell.

"Being in such a fast paced environment, to be able to observe how everyone operates,” said St. Pius graduate and Missouri State senior Ethan Niemann.

When the Super Bowl in Atlanta is over, there is no rest for these local companies. They are already working on the LA Rams stadium, which will host the Super Bowl in a few years.

"Its incredibly rewarding because it is hard work and its years in the making. To be able to celebrate it and watch it on tv or be there in person is even better,” said Smith.
