KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jamal Horton has been living with multiple sclerosis since 2001, but in the last two years, his symptoms have gotten worse.

"Most of my functionality is now being impacted; any day-to-day functionality," Horton said. "I'm getting scared because I feel pretty vulnerable."

A week ago, he was getting out of his car when he fell.

"Then once I pulled myself up from the ground, I lost my balance again and fell, this time straight backwards," he said.

That's when he says a neighbor came to his rescue.

"The first thing he asked me was, 'Do you need me to help you up man, are you okay?'" said Horton.

From there, he helped him up and walked him all the way back to his apartment. Now, Horton is looking for that neighbor to thank him.

41 Action News tagged along as he knocked on the doors of four different homes, but no luck. Horton plans to keep searching so he can be recognized.

"It would probably fall in the top five special things that have ever happened to me in my entire life so that being said I don't think just taking him to lunch is good enough," said Horton.
