The streets of Kansas City were flooded with runners for the Waddle & Reed Kansas City Marathon with Ivy Investments.

Organizers say an estimated 10,000 runners from 48 states and six nations converged on the streets of Kansas City on Saturday.

The event included a full marathon, half marathon, team relay, five-kilometer run and a 1.2-mile kids' marathon.
?
Among those participants was Rick Roeber, he's teamed up with the Kansas City Rescue Mission to make his 100th marathon count for the homeless. His goal is to raise $10,000.
?
Roeber will run his 82nd consecutive barefoot marathon at the Waddle & Reed Kansas City Marathon totaling 100 marathons.

"It's my 100th marathon today. I'm raising money. I'm raising money for the Kansas City Rescue Mission. I'm trying to raise $10,000, I've raised a few thousands already," said Roeber.

The 2016 Kansas City Marathon had a large after party at the Finish Line Festival, three live bands and a large beer garden.
?
Cheryl Frederickson said the crowd and course make the KC Marathon a great event.
?
"I just think it’s a great course. We go through the Plaza, Westport, 18th and Vine. All over, it's just a beautiful course," said Frederickson.

The race wrapped up about 1 p.m. Saturday.
