KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Members of the Indian community in the Kansas City metro rallied on Saturday for farmers in India.
Organizers said the Indian government’s three farm bills will ruin small farmers’ livelihoods.
"The youth saw a repeating problem with what's going on in India and wanted to gather to show our farmers in India that we stand in solidarity with them," Komalpreet Kaur, who organized the event, said.
Those in Kansas City wanted to show their loved ones in India that they support the farmers’ protests against the government.
