KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, Parks and Recreation maintenance staff are putting the final touches on trailers that will be used in Wednesday's Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade.
The parks department will provide three 20-foot trailers for the parade. Crews will place six metal park benches on the trailers, which will be used for seating
"When the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, we got notice that they wanted to build some floats, so we pulled things together and built some walls and got some park benches," Maintenance Supervisor Chris Davis said. "We mounted them on the trailers so we could have people ride on them during the parade."
Super Bowl banners will hang all around the trailers.
"It's amazing," Davis said. "Anybody that's a fan of the Chiefs, you know they'll do anything they can to help support our city."
