Kansas City police are investigating two separate overnight homicides.

Authorities were first called to 21st and Askew shortly after 8 p.m. Friday night after reports of a cutting.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died hours later.

Police identified him as Deanthoni Sanders, 20.

Police say area residents reported sounds of two men arguing before Sanders was found.

In a separate incident about two hours later, police were called to I-29 and 152 Highway following calls about a shooting.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a man dead in a vehicle from apparent gunshot wounds.

Additional officers were called to a nearby gas station where the suspect of the shooting called police.

Authorities are questioning the suspect and say it appears the incident may have started as a road rage between the victim and suspect.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Clinton R. Alsobrook.

Anyone with information about either homicide is urged to contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
