Volunteers at the Salvation Army on Linwood Boulevard arrived before 5 a.m. on Thanksgiving to prepare their annual holiday meal.

Six-hundred meals will be delivered to people who can not leave their homes on Thursday.

They are also expecting 500 people at the annual meal on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The meal will include turkey, dressing, potatoes, rolls, pumpkin pie and other traditional items.

Volunteers have been working the past few days to debone more than 140 turkeys and get everything ready.

Anyone in need or who would otherwise spend the holiday alone is welcome at the 101 W. Linwood Boulevard location.
