KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Officials with the KC Streetcar say they're ready for the large amount of passengers expected during Super Bowl weekend.
According to spokesperson Donna Mandelbaum, preparations have been underway to make passengers' experience a good one on the light rail service.
"We'll be running with our streetcars, running three to four streetcars depending on the day," Mandelbaum said. "If we need extra service, we will. If we need to add extra hours of service, we will, depending on the game on Sunday."
Mandelbaum said security will also be added to make sure everyone on board is safe.
"We've added security for both Friday night and Sunday, and we have our regular safety ambassadors as well as our partnership with KCPD," she said.
Those planning to use the streetcar are urged to pack their patience because of expected crowded streetcars. Streetcars will run every 10 to 15 minutes.
