KANSAS CITY, Mo. — KC Streetcar officials told 41 Action News Monday they plan to suspend service at midnight Wednesday.
After the last trip Tuesday night, the streetcar wrapped in Chiefs decoration will park at Union Station, and then power will be cut to the lines.
Streetcar officials said the cars will remain out of service until the parade is over and they're given an all-clear from police.
A streetcar supervisor will also have to check the track and lines for damage before operations resume.
Sunday night, crowds in the streets of downtown's entertainment district made the roads impassible for the streetcar.
The break in operations isn't deterring the streetcar from breaking out championship swag.
A video tweeted from the streetcar's account Monday showed a worker plastering a "Champions" sticker onto one of the windows.
