KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Robert Triplett has been a Ride KC driver for 30 years. In that time, he's seen plenty of snow.

"Oh god. One time the buses quit., stopped about eight at night. You could just barely see and it had to be about three feet of snow outside. Snow was coming down so thick you could barely see," Triplett said.

Tuesday, he will be one of about 150-165 KCATA drivers getting passengers throughout the Kansas City metro.

KCATA Director of Transportation Bobby Edwards tells 41 Action News his staff met on Monday to plan, "So we can get more buses out there if needed or more operators to help out with that schedule."

Edwards says they will also be, "Plowing some snow in different areas, clearing out sidewalks and bus shelters as well as some of the parking garages. If anyone is looking to get on the bus to get to where they need to go, they'll be safe riding with KCATA."
