KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The drive into the terminals at Kansas City International Airport will be changing next week.
Beginning Tuesday, April 28, vehicles headed into the two terminals at the airport now travel in the same direction on International Circle into and out of terminals B and C, according to a news release from the Kansas City Aviation Department.
With construction on a new terminal continuing, International Circle will close in front of the now-closed Terminal A.
Traffic will roll into the airport across the Cookingham Drive median, the main airport freeway, according to the release.
This will mean two-way traffic into and out of the terminals.
Another change is the addition of roundabouts to drive into and out of the terminals.
The first roundabout will take drivers into Terminal C and the second roundabout will feed into and out of Terminal B, according to the news release.
Signs will help drivers navigate the changes.
The new traffic pattern will continue until the new terminal opens in 2023.
