KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Officers are investigating after a body was found in a man’s backyard Tuesday afternoon.
KCK police said the body was found just before 2 p.m. in the 300 block of N. 80th Terrace, just south of I-70.
KCK officers said crews at the American Motel were clearing out brush when they saw the body through a fence.
KCK police spoke with the homeowner and informed him about the body.
The homeowner, who didn’t want to be identified, said he heard gunshots Sunday night. He also told 41 Action News police found a gun near the body.
