KCK police investigating homicide after woman's body found on Troup Avenue

A suspect in a homicide was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 

Police said a woman's body was found in a home in the 800 block of Troup Avenue on Saturday evening. 

Officers were called to the area just before 8:15 p.m. on a reported shooting. They found a woman dead from multiple gunshot wounds in a home. She was later identified as Tabitha Newbill, 24, of Kansas City, Kansas. 

KCK police said their investigation revealed Newbill was found dead after a domestic disturbance at her residence. 

The suspect in the case was found dead on Sunday, April 23, in Kansas City, Missouri from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 

KCK police are not actively seeking any other individual or suspect in this case.
