KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Students in Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools will return to in-person instruction in January 2021 under terms of a re-entry plan unanimously approved Tuesday by the district's Board of Education.

Monday, Jan. 4th, 2021- All School Staff return to buildings. Some essential staff will be asked to return even earlier.

Early childhood through second-grade students will return Jan. 19 in a hybrid learning setting with third- through 12th-grade students returning Jan. 25, again on a hybrid schedule.
Staff will return Jan. 1, but some central office staff and other essential personnel might come back sooner.
KCK Public Schools has yet to finalize the hybrid schedule, though some students will attend classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, while another group will be in schools on Thursdays and Fridays. All students will be remote on Wednesdays.
Families will still have the option to continue with remote learning and no in-person classes.
