KCKPS superintendent takes new job in North Carolina

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Charles Foust is leaving the district for a new job in North Carolina.

The district made the announcement Friday.

Foust began as superintendent in 2018.

He will move to the New Hanover County School District in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Board of Education will help guide the reopening of KCKPS schools and identify an interim superintendent while they look for a job candidate.
