KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating after a burned body was found in an apparent homeless camp.

According to police, officers responded to the call for a reported dead body around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

They arrived to find the burned body in an apparent homeless camp.

Detectives are looking for anyone who might know what led up to the incident, and investigators are processing the scene.

No cause of death has been determined at this time and the identity of the person is unknown.
