KCPD investigating man's fatal shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a man was shot to death in Kansas City, Missouri Monday.

A KCPD spokesman said officers were sent to a shots fired call at about 6:30 p.m. Monday near 41st and Garfield.

Officers found a black man, later identified as 40-year-old Darrick J. Jackson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived and he was transported to a hospital.

He later died from his injuries.

Officers have not released any information on possible suspects, as of Monday evening.
