One killed in overnight shooting near 57th and McGee, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was shot and killed in Kansas City, Missouri, early Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers were called to the area of 57th and McGee streets around 12:15 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the grass with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Witnesses said they heard a disturbance prior to the gunshots.

There is no suspect description at this time.
