KCPD investigating a homicide in 9300 block of Myrtle Avenue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police investigated what they are calling a homicide Friday morning.

Officers were called to the scene around 4:45 a.m. near 93rd Street and Myrtle Avenue.

A woman said there was an unresponsive man in an apartment.

Officers went inside to provide first aid while EMS was called to the scene.

Lynn Armstrong, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are speaking with all people involved to try to figure out what happened.

Police said they are not looking for anyone after talking with or arresting those involved.

The cause of death can not be determined until crime scene processing is complete, police said.

No charges have been filed.
