KCPD ends standoff with armed man

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police called an Operation 100 standoff near West 39th Street and Washington Street overnight.

Police were called to a home in the area around 11:30 p.m.

When the standoff was called, police said a person armed with a gun was inside a home in that area and had been uncooperative.

No shots were fired while officers were on the scene.

KCPD said they were able to confirm all parties involved were safe and ended the operation around 3 a.m.
