Kansas City police are asking for the public's help tracking down four suspects in a series of burglaries of local businesses in the Crossroads district.

Police say five businesses were burglarized in the Crossroads on Monday -- an advertising agency, an office building, Lidia's, Lulu's Thia Noodle Shop and The Jacobson.

In a release from the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers, four people arrived at one of the businesses at 3:30 a.m. Monday and made off with several computers. The release says two of the suspects had been to the location at about 2 a.m. and shined flashlights through windows.

The suspects wore gloves, masks, and hoodies. They arrived in a red or burgundy Nissan Quest. It appears to be a 1996-1998 model.

"When you're watching it on video it seems like a long time. In reality, that's time for someone seeing it and calling the police and the police may still not get there in time that's just very quick," said Kansas City police detective, Tim Mountz.

"They were all wearing masks which makes you think they were aware of the cameras they didn't park right out front they didn't do a lot of things that we see often they did a lot of things that you would expect them to have planned out," Detective Mountz added.

The police detective explained that business owners and residents in the crossroads district are helping police try to find the suspect vehicle

"We're not sitting back waiting for it to happen again -- I'll tell you that," detective Mountz concluded.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
