Kansas highways are littered with trash.
It's not only an eyesore for drivers, but an ongoing problem for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Complaints flood the KDOT office daily.
"It's a never-ending problem," said KDOT supervisor Rick Looper.
This week, KDOT maintenance crews will be out every day picking up the endless miles of trash that litter metro highways.
Some of the garbage they frequently pick up include plastic, glass, debris from trucks, tires, discarded ladders and much more.
