KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team landed safely in San Jose, California, Sunday night following an engine failure shortly after takeoff.
KU Athletics issued a statement Sunday regarding the return flight from the team’s game against Stanford.
“The pilot immediately contacted the San Jose Airport where we returned and made a safe landing,” KU said in the statement. “We are grateful to the pilots and the entire flight crew of Swift Air.”
