KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Boosters and students from the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas snatched up all the tickets to the MU vs. KU exhibition basketball game scheduled for Sunday, October 22.

The 18,000 seats at the Sprint Center were divided between both schools.

KU and MU officials said Tuesday that they each sold all their tickets. A representative for the Sprint Center said the schools notified the venue that they sold their inventory for the game, and tickets will not be available for sale Wednesday as previously announced.

Fans are excited to see the two men's basketball teams play each other. The last time KU and MU played was five years ago in 2012.

The game will not be televised or streamed, but each school's radio network will broadcast it.

The border showdown is called Showdown for Relief because proceeds from the game will benefit hurricane victims in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sprint Center.
