Derek Drennon, 19, of Lansing was killed in a rollover crash involving four vehicles Friday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says Drennon was drivng a 2016 Ford Edge northbound on K-7 passing traffic on the right shoulder. He hit the side of a 2013 Ford Edge, traveling north on K-7. Drennon then cut across traffic and entered the median where his vehicle rolled several times, ejecting him.
His vehicle then hit a 2005 Mitsubishi traveling south on K-7, injuring 58 year-old Cathy Fishman of Overland Park.
Debris from that impact hit a fourth vehicle, also northbound on K-7.
The Highway Patrol says Drennon was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
