KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A large water main break affected businesses in the Seaport business complex in Liberty early Tuesday morning.
The complex is located off of Kansas Street, just east of Route 291.
Assistant City Administrator Sara Cooke said the eigt-inch main only affected businesses in the area, and residents were not impacted.
Water was shooting an estimated 30 feet in the air and buckled the street at the West College Street and Westwoods Drive intersection.
Public Works crews estimated water would be impacted several hours. The break was reported around 6 a.m.
The total number of customers impacted is not yet known.
