UPDATE Nov. 6: Lawrence Police arrested 27-year-old Howard Levite of Leavenworth County in connection to the shooting.
He was arrested in Jackson County on unrelated charges and is awaiting extradition to Douglas County, where he faces charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated battery.
PREVIOUS: Lawrence police are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting Saturday night.
Police were called to the McDonald's at 1309 West Sixth Street and located a 50-year-old man who had been shot in his car. He was treated on scene and taken to a local hospital with “significant injuries,” according to police. His condition is unknown.
The suspect, according to police, is described as a black male wearing a red hoodie and red sweatpants. He was carrying a bag in connection to the shooting, police said.
