KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Just before Mother's Day, Nikki Comer had a random idea.
The mother of two wanted to send Mother's Day cards to strangers -- specifically to those moms who lost children to violence.
"I don't want anyone to feel that way, forgotten," she told 41 Action News at the time.
Almost a month later, Comer is doing it again.
This time, she's collecting the names of fathers who have lost children to violence for Father's Day.
"Dads are important too," she said.
Right now, Comer only has a list of about a dozen names. Finding fathers is harder than finding mothers, she said.
