KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Liberty police and fire officials are working with the Missouri Division of Fire Safety in an arson investigation.
MDFS said in a Facebook post on Sunday morning that they were on scene at an apartment building at 400 West Kansas Street.
Officials asked anyone who observed “suspicious activity” between 3 and 4 a.m. Sunday “or are missing a fuel container” to contact the arson hotline at 800-39-ARSON (800-392-7766).
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest, according to MDFS.
