LIBERTY, Mo. — Liberty residents are asked to limit their water usage over the next several days while workers repair a mechanical issue at the water treatment plant.

The city issued a water conservation notice on Saturday to water customers.

Residents are encouraged to hold off on any unnecessary laundry and long showers until repairs are complete.

Customers might experience reduced pressure during this time.

Sunday morning the city's Facebook page stated that "as Liberty wakes up, the demand on the city's water system increases."

Staff continue to monitor water levels and are working to expedite the repair. Officials will provide updates on the city's website and social media platforms.
