ORIGINAL STORY:
Police are investigating following a life-threatening shooting in KCMO on Monday night.
Authorities said a man was shot at a house in the 5000 block of Fairway Drive.
According to police, the victim answered a knock at his front door and when he opened it, a man on the other side shot him in the chest.
The investigation is ongoing.
