KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Mike Parson will address the state's response to COVID-19 after visiting Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday.
As of Monday, Missouri had more than 16,000 COVID-19 cases and had reported nearly 900 deaths.
On Tuesday, the state moved to Phase 2 of Parson's "Show Me Strong Recovery Plan," which essentially lifts all restrictions. Local jurisdictions, however, can still put further restrictions or ordinances in place.
The state's reopening began May 4, after stay-at-home orders had been enacted to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
