KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Politicians across the Kansas City area are reacting to the news that President-Elect Joe Biden will become the 46th President of the United States.
Missouri Congressman Emmanuel Cleaver tweeted out his congratulations to both President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris Saturday.

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley tweeted that the winner is not official until counts, recounts and allegations of fraud are addressed.
The media do not get to determine who the president is. The people do. When all lawful votes have been counted, recounts finished, and allegations of fraud addressed, we will know who the winner is

Kansas Congresswoman Sharice Davids tweeted her approval of the results.

The Associated Press projected Joe Biden as the winner four days after election day, after he was projected the winner of swing states Pennsylvania and Nevada.
