KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Country superstar Luke Bryan's concert in rural Miami County was canceled Thursday after heavy overnight rain in the area, although the singer plans to reschedule, according to the city of Louisburg.
Bryan tweeted Thursday morning that he and his crew were unable to load in the equipment needed for his Farm Tour show at MC Farms.
The city said on Facebook that alternate locations were considered but determined to be too wet to hold the concert.

"Hold on to those tickets, Luke plans on rescheduling," the city said on Facebook.
Some fans still hoped to see a glimpse of Bryan after more than a dozen tour buses were seen parked near West 119th Street and Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park on Thursday morning.
Tour officials said that crew members were required to get some sleep before traveling again.

"I’d probably faint, not gonna lie," said Abby Smithey of Marshall, Missouri, speaking about the possibility of seeing Bryan.
While waiting outside the tour buses, fans expressed disappointment in the cancellation of the concert.
"I was bummed, because I made this pretty little sign right here and all I want is for him to sign it now since it’s canceled, so I was hoping to get to the stage to where he could sign it," Smithey said.
"Was kind of bummed that it got canceled," said Allison Boles of Louisburg. "My mom called me out of school and I came up here because I found out he was here, so I’m really hoping to meet him."
Some fans drove more than eight hours to see Bryan play.
"We wake up this morning after about getting three hours of sleep and find out that it’s canceled," said Savanna Jones of Rockford, Illinois.
According to Bryan's website, those who buy a ticket to a concert that gets canceled can receive a refund. However, organizers hope to reschedule the Louisburg show.
Later Thursday, a date had not been set for the rescheduled concert.
