KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The University of Kansas in Lawrence issued an alert Wednesday after a man allegedly peered under stalls in women’s on-campus restrooms at least three times in the last month.

The university’s Public Safety Office said the male suspect entered restrooms in Strong Hall and the Dole Human Development Center on Sunnyside Avenue.

On Wednesday, a victim in one of the incidents “startled” the man, who ran away from the Dole Center toward Jayhawk Boulevard, the university said.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds with short brown hair and a beard. He was seen Wednesday wearing a green shirt, blue pants, a blue or brown hat and a blue backpack, the university said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 785-864-8888 or the KU Public Safety Office at 785-864-5900.
