The Clay County Sheriff's Office arrest a man for exposing himself to a young girl and touching another girl at Oceans of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri.

William Kendrick, 56, is facing a charge of sexual misconduct and assault the incident that occured on Thursday night.

When sheriff deputies arrested him, they took the wet blue shorts he was wearing.

Unlike regular swim trunk his shorts didn't have a liner, officials said.

And at the time of the crime he wasn't wearing any underpants.

In this summer heat, the wave pool at Oceans of Fun is a popular spot but it's also where law enforcement said Kendrick exposed himself.

"That's sick there's other places to go and do that don't do that in public with a bunch of kids," Brain Templeton, a parent visiting the water park said.

According to court documents, Kendrick walked up to a 12-year-old girl in the pool with his genitals out of his shorts.

"It'd make me go crazy I'd probably hurt someone," Templeton said. "I wouldn't deal with that."

Neither did the little girl's father who found Kendrick and hit him.

When deputeis arrived, another girl, 13, told them Kendrick walked by and grabbed her bottom as she and her friend were swimming.

Kendrick, whose listed address on court records is Welcome Home KC, a sober living facility, refused to speak with investigators.

This crime comes almost three weeks after a mother filed a police report after she saw a man walking around the waterpark taking photos of young girls in swim suits.

Oceans of Fun said their security team were investigating those allegations.

Kendrick's arrest has parents keeping their children closer.

"We don't let the kids take off anymore we used to let them go by themselves but since we've been hearing about all this stuff going on we don't let them do that anymore," Templeton said.

Oceans of Funs representative tell 41 Action News they're aware of the incident and that the safety of their guests and staff is important.

Kendrick is waiting to make his first court appearance, his bond set for $10,000.
