KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is investigating a shooting death Sunday morning on the Interstate 70 westbound ramp to U.S. 40 in Kansas City.
Officers were called shortly after 6:30 a.m. and found a gray sedan in a ditch with a man who had a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
On Tuesday, police identified the victim as Anthony Thomas, 46, of Kansas City.
The ramp was closed for several hours as police processed the scene.
