KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was shot and killed as he left work early Saturday morning in Kansas City, Kansas.
KCKPD Police Chief Terry Zeigler said officers were called to the 200 block of Kindelberger about 2 a.m. and found a black male in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and later died.
Police identified the victim Sunday as Eric Jackson, 39. He lived in Shawnee, Kansas.

Zeigler said detectives investigating the case do not believe it is a random act, but no suspect information has been released.
