UPDATE (5/31): A 35-year-old Kansas City man faces multiple felony charges in connection with the May 15, 2016 fatal shooting of D'Adrian Bell in a residence near 72nd and Olive, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Tuesday.

Brad Lindsey faces charges of first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and four counts of tampering with physical evidence.

According to court records, police were dispatched in the early morning of May 15, 2016 to a residence in the 7200 block of Olive on a reported shooting. They found the victim deceased on the floor. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses told police that the victim and Lindsey were arguing in connection with a drug deal. Their argument became physical and Lindsey produced a handgun and fired it more than once, hitting the victim. Lindsey discarded the victim's and his cell phone off Highway 71 and tossed his pistol into the river from the Broadway Bridge, as well as clothing.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000.
