KCPD: Fatal pedestrian crash investigated as a homicide

UPDATE 11 p.m. | The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department's Homicide Unit now is investigating the incident, according to a KCPD spokesperson.

Evidence at the scene "indicated the collision was an intentional act," according to KCPD.

ORIGINAL STORY | One man died after he was struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. at a park in the 2400 block of Blue Valley Park Road West.

Police said the man was run over by someone in a vehicle after an argument in the area.

The man was initially reported to have serious injuries but he later died.

KCPD's Accident Investigation Section is investigating the crash.
