KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man and a woman are dead following a disturbance at a Northland home.
Kansas City, Missouri, police responded just before 10 a.m. to the area of 900 N. Flintlock Road.
Police said that neighbors heard a disturbance and possibly the sound of shots.
By 2:30 p.m., after attempts to negotiate, officers entered the residence, at which time they located the man and woman, both of whom were deceased, according to police.
Throughout the multi-hour standoff, authorities used the parking lot of a nearby elementary school as a command post.
The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information at this time.
