KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people were found dead inside a home in the 2900 block of Monroe Ave. early Saturday morning.
Kansas City, Missouri, police were called to the home just after 12:30 a.m. to investigate an unknown medical call.
Upon arrival, officers found two adults, a man and woman, inside the home with unknown injuries. One of the victims had been shot.
KCPD identified the dead male victim as Fernando L. Howard, 35, and the dead female victim as Shaketa Payne, 36.
EMS responders pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
Detectives are gathering additional information and crime scene investigators were processing evidence.
