KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The developers behind a new project at the old Mission Mall site at Roe Avenue and Shawnee Mission Parkway made several key announcements Friday.
Local construction company Fogel-Anderson will manage construction of the project, which launched last month with earth-moving operations.
Neighbors construction company has been tapped as the general contractor for a portion of the project that will include multi-family homes and small retail.
Apartments are slated to be available in Spring 2020, with the overall development, which will include a 40,000 square-foot food hall from Tom Colicchio, as well as a hotel, office building and destination entertainment venue, slated for completion in early 2021.
Renderings released Friday of the project show a multi-story building on the south side of the property along Shawnee Mission Parkway, with a parking garage situated in the center of the property.
The site had previously sat empty for several years as developers worked through different plans with the city of Mission.
